Dear Haynes Bridge Families,
We hope that you are all staying warm with these extreme temperatures and that your kids enjoyed their snow day last week. Thank you to all of our members who took time to log into our General Membership meeting last week to elect our 2025-2026 PTA Nominating Committee. Our committee members are Laura Vanderlip, Andrea Paz and Elisa Bobbitt, and their task is to nominate PTA members to fill our board and committee chairs. If you are interested in learning more about those roles, or how the PTA works, you are always welcome to drop in on a PTA Board meeting (those dates and times are in the PTA calendar on the Membership Toolkit Website).
Our next event is Trivia Night on February 6. Please plan to come with your family to enjoy trivia and pizza on a Thursday evening! We do need a headcount in order to purchase the pizza, so please check you calendar and RSVP HERE. Be sure to indicate on the sign-up genius how many people will be attending - space is limited! This is a free event!
We are seeking a volunteer for Career Day (2/14). This role would involve picking up breakfast for Career Day volunteers and setting it up at the school, and then moving any leftover food or drink to the teacher’s lounge. If you are interested, please contact president@hbmspta.com. Also please see flyer below to volunteer for Career Day and share your career with students!
The Georgia PTA Day at the Capitol is 2/3 where you can become more familiar with the legislative process and meet with legislators to advocate for education and children’s issues. Link HERE.
