The Haynes Bridge Middle School Community Closet provides a shoppable pantry for students and families in need through the social work & counseling departments at HBMS. In its third year, the needs have changed but our commitment to serving families in our community remains the same. Our community closet serves students and families on a regular basis by providing access to food, hygiene, and clothing.

Mission: Ensure HBMS families can access essential support with dignity through a school-owned, sustainable system supported by PTA and community partners - with predictable food-security support during select extended school closings and clear pathways to request help for urgent or significant unexpected needs.
We are seeking assistance of community partners to help with an increased need during the upcoming school breaks (Thanksgiving and Winter) as we expect 20 families to shop the shelves. Through the counseling and social work departments, our team has identified the most needed and frequently requested by families. Your continued support ensures we can meet these needs and provide meaningful assistance during the holidays. We are seeking partnerships to provide fully stocked shelves for these families. If you are interested in partnering with us to provide these items in bulk, we would love to talk with you about the logistics of the donations. Please reach out to Jennifer Filpi, PTA VP of School Support, at vpschoolsupport@hbmspta.com, or Lori Hamre-Jenkins, PTA Chair of Community Closet, at vpstudentenrichment@hbmspta.com.
